Pokemon Kantou (the first generation) is still the best. Fyi, they're screening Pokemon Black and White now and team Rocket is read badass in there ._. And they got "blasted off" less in the new series :p
I miss Misty and BROCK! Just hope they won't ever change the main character, Ash, and his number one Pikachu!

Root of Happiness

There...there...it's in your thoughts, your mind, your actions;
It's in YOU.

For example,

Happiness is...finding yourself smiling at (even) this.

Yes, several external forces may get you derailed - exams, work, projects, failures, boredom, love or death.
In the end, these matter just this much; what will bring you back on track is yourself.
Hopefully, plus the help of your caring family members and friends :)

Similarly, the root of sadness is in you. Why try so hard to be sad?
Do something about it. Ask for help if needed :)
Not prepared for upcoming exams? Stop worrying. Study as much as you can bear.

Stressed? Take a break; Or a getaway, if needed.

Failures? Get over it. Work harder next time.

Missed full score by one or two marks? Well, don't expect too much. Sometimes, one needs to learn to be contented.

Sick of your current job? Quit if you've been telling yourself so, yet haven't done so.
Why torture yourself doing pointless things? Treat work as a lifestyle, not an obligation.

Missing your loved ones? Make yourself busy. Do (or eat) things that you love. Give him/her a call (if he/ she is alive LOL). Learn that 'change is the only constant'. Take advantage of the change. Learn to stand up stronger.

Bored? Easy; find something fun to do. Period.

Live in the present; worry less.
Go with the flow.
Look at the bright side of basically everything.
Start the day by expecting good things to happen; it's a self-fulfilling prophesy.
In a nutshell, when you're feeling down, you DO something about it.
You don't sit around and wait for happiness to find you.
You get up and 'GRAB' your own HAPPINESS :)

No one wants to be sad. However, one can unconsciously pollute one's thoughts with negativity; hence, such.
Do realise that everyone around you will love your more cheerful and jubilant self :)
Wear a smile! It's infectious, and one size fits all! *wink*

another phase

Getting ready for university involves applications, essay-writing, recommendations, decision-making; and definitely, excitement. I've received many opinions from seniors, relatives, friends and eventually, I am the one choosing the path that I wish to travel.

Gotta work hard for these - getting a course that I want, *fast-forward* having a job that I love, enjoying life, fulfilling a promise, and blahs...
I guess this I'm not even halfway there, but I'm not giving up.
I'm preparing myself for what have yet to come.
*determined2* :)

Meanwhile, I'm currently working at my ex-teacher's tuition centre, teaching secondary and primary school students. Now I can empathise with my former teachers when I'm trying hardddd to make the students work! (and not chit-chat, or copy somebody else's work, or play with their phones) Geez... Then I realise incentives work xp Examples: 'SHINEE' poster, breaks, getting 'early release' once they finished doing all the questions, some gifts from Singapore... and even English 'lessons'! (gosh)
And these kids are indeeeeddd naughty (not all, but most are) LOL.

It's a liiil tiring, but

I love giving them eureka moments,
I want to help them (understand the subjects and the importance of learning);
lastly, THEY ARE SO CUTE AND FUNNAYEEE!

There was one time when a student thought that I was leaving for SG for 4 years while in fact, I was just leaving for less than a week to get my results. He told his classmates and the entire gang came over specially to say farewells, "Have a safe flight, Sisterrrr!"
They're so cute right!?! OK, pardon my enthusiasm xD That's sweet of them.
And my ex-teacher was jealous of me who has just taught them for less than 2 months *ROFLLL*
So when I landed on Medan (from SG), I headed straight for work and got them some chocs :)
Plus some gifts which I promised a few students who managed to solve my self-crafted, challenging Maths questions. (my...they were groaningggg as they tried solving them x)

These happy, enjoyable things kept me going. As I look forward to the start of my university life, let me enjoy some nice home-made meals, family time, and (ironically) work-life! xD

Many fun things/events happened days after A Levels ended (OHHH GLORIOUS DAYSS!)

Achievement: Played at Siloso Beach with hostelmates, FINALLY. (after postponing it since everyone's busy partying after June Common Test and Prelims)

Crazy Kim n Ak did somersaults - wushu n parkour style respectively - while the rest of us just "watched and 'ate popcorn' " XD

Outings with Mankee, Pat, Cepe, Jen, Roommie Nono, and meeting Asri, RC, Bane, Hannah whom I haven't really chatted with in quite some time.
So we went to Nando's at Bugis and had some Peri-Peri chilli! (and main course, obviously)

How I miss all of them, and the SC-IJ times...

RIGHT AFTER (like, after THE DINNER) we rushed to Lavender by taxi!
Managed to exchange S$ for some ringgits and hopped on to our bus on time. #successkid.jpg :D
Destination: PANGKOR ISLAND
Companies: Jen n' Pat <3 So we camwhored like there's no tomorrow, even on the bus (Y)

And we slept in the bus...like a boss.

And eventually we - Pat & I - 'slept'. Jen slept quite early tho.

Then we sailed our way to Pangkor!

Day 1 was funnnn! Pangkor has lotsa beaches - Coral Beach, Monkey Beach, Nipah Beach, and blahs.
Basically we went to beaches in all 3 days :D playing and collecting seashells

Worst thing: I accidentally swallowed salt water when I tried to dive in a bit to see cute lil fishie and it tasted *YUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKYYYYYYY* TT__________TT

Good thing I was saved by a fabulous seafood dinner. Very affordable too!
Ate lotsa ABC (Ais Batu Campur), which is basically the Malaysian version of ice kachang plus chocolate and stuff and one that is waaaayy nicer than just ice ka-chang.

then...that night...by the beach...*coughs* :)
